Skal Roma and Skal Bucharest: First Twinning of Skal Europa

President Luigi Sciarra sees the twinning as “consistent with all our previous ones, namely Girona, Paris, Berlin, Stockholm, Prague, Istanbul, Mexico City, and New Jersey. We maintain and develop links between Rome, capitals, and other world locations to aggregate more and more tourism operators around the values of Skal.”

The ceremony ended with the exchange of pennants and gifts, including a special parchment diploma.

Skal International was founded in 1934 and is the only professional organization promoting global tourism and friendship, uniting all sectors of the industry. It has more than 12,803 members consisting of industry managers and executives, who meet at local, national, regional, and international levels to do business among friends throughout more than 331 Skal Clubs in 101 countries.

The vision of Skal is to be a trusted voice in travel and tourism whose mission is through leadership, professionalism, and friendship, to work together to maximize networking opportunity and support a responsible tourism industry. Skal International is an Affiliated Member of the UNWTO and supports The Code, PATA, IIPT, and STI, among others.
