Turkish Airlines is set to operate flights three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays using Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

Turkish Airlines is further enhancing its extensive North America network by introducing its 14th US gateway in Denver, Colorado. Commencing on June 11, 2024, the airline will operate direct flights for the first time between Istanbul Airport (IST) and Denver International Airport (DEN), providing a convenient link for travelers in Colorado to Turkey’s vibrant tourism, cultural, and financial center, as well as to the airline’s vast network of over 340 destinations in 130 countries spanning six continents.

Turkish Airlines is set to operate flights three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays using Airbus A350-900 aircraft. Beginning July 9, the airline plans to increase the frequency to four flights per week, including Sundays. The first flight, TK201, is scheduled to depart from Istanbul Airport (IST) on June 11 at 13:55 local time and land at Denver International Airport (DEN) on the same day at 17:40. The return flight, TK202, will leave Denver for Istanbul on June 11 at 19:35 local time, reaching Istanbul Airport (IST) on June 12 at 16:25 local time.

Turkish Airlines has been steadily increasing its presence in the United States over the past few years. In 2021, the airline opened new routes to Newark and Dallas, followed by the introduction of its first-ever Pacific-Northwest route in Seattle in 2022. Looking ahead, Turkish Airlines plans to launch its Detroit route in 2023, further expanding its reach in the Midwest region. These strategic U.S. openings are part of the airline’s ambitious growth plans, aimed at promoting tourism to Türkiye and leveraging its extensive destination network spanning Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

Turkish Airlines Vice President Sales – Americas, Fatih Durmaz, expressed his satisfaction with the expansion of Turkish Airlines to Denver. He emphasized the significance of this new gateway opening in the United States, as it aligns with their mission of connecting people and destinations worldwide through their extensive global route network. Durmaz highlighted that the Denver expansion marks their inaugural venture in the Rocky Mountain region of the United States, further strengthening their presence across the continent.

Phil Washington, the CEO of Denver Airport, expressed his satisfaction in welcoming Turkish Airlines as the latest airline partner at DEN. Turkish Airlines’ strategically situated hub at Istanbul Airport, poised to be the globe’s biggest international travel center, is set to link to over 80 destinations reachable within a three-hour flight. In the United States, the carrier serves 13 cities such as Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Newark, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington D.C.
