New United Airlines Facility at George Bush Intercontinental Airport

United Airlines has announced a significant investment in its Houston hub, marking the commencement of a new 140,000-square-foot Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Maintenance Facility at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). Additionally, the airline is launching a state-of-the-art Technical Operations Training Center at the airport, designed to provide employees with an advanced training experience.

As the largest airline in Houston, United Airlines employs over 14,000 individuals and operates more than 500 flights daily. These infrastructure enhancements reflect the airline’s ongoing dedication to its employees and customers in the Houston region. Since 2021, United has invested upwards of $32 billion globally, which includes substantial funding for modern infrastructure, innovative technology, and nearly $10 billion allocated specifically for employee salary increases.
