The United States government’s official prediction of international visitation to the United States has been released by the International Trade Administration (ITA) today.

The International Trade Administration (ITA) is an agency in the United States Department of Commerce that promotes United States exports of nonagricultural US services and goods.

In 2024, the National Travel and Tourism Office (NTTO) of ITA expects the number of international visitors to the United States to rise to 77.7 million, representing a 15.4% increase of 10.4 million compared to 2023’s 67.3 million visitors. Furthermore, NTTO projects that international visitation will surpass pre-pandemic levels, reaching 85.2 million in 2025, exceeding the 79.4 million visitors recorded in 2019.

According to NTTO’s projection, the United States is expected to achieve a visitor count of 91 million in 2026, surpassing the National Travel and Tourism Strategy’s five-year target of 90 million international visitors by 2027.

“I’m excited to announce that we are expecting a 15% increase in visitors from around the globe in 2024 and continued increases throughout the rest of the decade, which will further bolster America’s travel and tourism industry,” said United States Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo.
