The hyperloop train operates on the principle of a vactrain, employing magnetic levitation (maglev) to glide through a vacuum tube. Superconducting magnets generate a powerful magnetic field to propel the train forward, while a linear motor facilitates acceleration and deceleration. By eliminating air resistance, the hyperloop promises hypersonic speeds with minimal environmental impact.

Tracking Progress: CASIC’s Test Milestones

CASIC’s endeavors have seen tangible progress, with a 1.24-mile test line in Datong, Shanxi province, witnessing the train achieve a record-breaking speed of 387 mph. Phase 2 aims to extend the tracks to 37 miles, targeting a speed of 621 mph, with ambitions to reach 1,243 mph in the future.
