CALABASAS, CA – AmaWaterways celebrates the debut of its most advanced vessel to date, the new AmaStella. The 158-passenger ship marks a milestone for the company – the introduction of new stateroom configurations designed specifically with groups and multi-generational travelers in mind.

“This is a very special time for AmaWaterways, as we welcome our newest ship, AmaStella, and prepare to unveil her sister ship, AmaViola, this spring,” said Kristin Karst, Executive Vice President and Co-owner of AmaWaterways. “For nearly fifteen years, AmaWaterways has been dedicated to bringing innovation and creativity to the river cruise industry. We are thrilled with what we’ve achieved with our newest class of ships and look forward to welcoming our guests aboard in the years ahead!”

AmaStella was purpose-built to incorporate the most innovative designs on the market today, while still maintaining the level of luxury AmaWaterways is known for with travel agents and consumers. With connecting cabins, the ship offers added convenience and comfortably hosts a larger number of guests within select staterooms. Configurations to highlight include:

• 12 staterooms that can accommodate up to three family members each

• Six sets of adjoining cabins that can be connected via an internal doorway, accommodating families of up to five

• Four suites with convertible sofa-beds that can accommodate families of up to four

In addition to the new room configurations, AmaWaterways has incorporated another design element with AmaStella and AmaViola – more of its signature twin-balcony (French and outside balconies) staterooms, meaning more opportunities for guests to enjoy stunning panoramic views. AmaWaterways has also increased the size of the fitness room and salon and massage area, and moved them to the lower deck.

AmaStella’s destination-inspired décor complements its layout and state-of-the-art amenities, including The Chef’s Table specialty restaurant, a refreshing sun deck and heated pool with a swim-up bar.

AmaStella’s maiden voyage set sail from Amsterdam to Budapest. Moving forward, the ship will embark upon several popular itineraries, including Tulip Time, The Romantic Danube, Melodies of the Danube and Christmas Markets on the Danube. AmaViola will set sail this April, introducing AmaWaterways’ first cruises with Adventures by Disney this summer.
