One of the leading South America tour operators, SouthAmerica.travel is now in its 14th year of business, and is flourishing now more than ever. The company began in 1999, offering trips to Brazil when information on travel planning was scarce. Now, SouthAmerica.travel specializes in 4-star and 5-star South America tours to Peru, Brazil, Ecuador, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Colombia.

Juergen Keller, the President of SouthAmerica.travel, remembers when he first became intrigued by South America and noticed the enormous potential for tourism in the continent. Born in southwest Germany, he studied all over the world – including Spain, Portugal, and Brazil. While studying in Washington D.C., Keller wrote his Masters thesis on the subject of “Strategies for Economic Development of South America as Promoted by the World Bank.” At the same time, he also was a tour guide, taking Americans, Canadians, and Brazilians throughout Europe. Soon he found himself working as an Export Manager for an international company.

While traveling in the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil, he noticed that there were a few travelers, but they had just planned their trips by themselves. Information on how to plan a trip in Brazil was difficult to obtain. Bradley Nehring, now the co-founder and Vice President of SouthAmerica.travel, and Keller decided to start their own travel business to fill this void, and help travelers plan and book trips to South America.

Today, there is a plethora of savvy round-the-world travelers, but many have never been to South America. In some ways, it is still the “last frontier” that beckons both the adventurous and the curious. Travelers can work with an expert travel consultant at SouthAmerica.travel to book a customized vacation package that suits nearly every budget and trip style.

Keller and Nehring have built up their company to nearly 30 employees spread over 5 international offices. There are 3 offices in South America – Rio de Janeiro, Lima, and Buenos Aires. There are also offices in Seattle, WA, and Stuttgart, Germany. Their team of travel consultants has traveled extensively across South America, and the company has garnered hundreds of happy client testimonials over the years.
