Resilient, powerful, strong and faithful. This is how Ramon Andrew described the people of Turks and Caicos. Ramon Andrews, the outspoken director of Tourism for the Caribbeans island nation Turks and Caicos sounded somehow relieved when he updated the media today on the current situation on his island, specifically commenting on the safety of visitors and visitor industry professionals.

Turks and Caicos is an archipelago of 40 low-lying coral islands in the Atlantic Ocean, a British Overseas Territory southeast of the Bahamas. The gateway island of Providenciales, known as Provo, is home to expansive Grace Bay Beach, with luxury resorts, shops and restaurants

“All visitors are safe, the airport damages but ready to get back online for relieve flights and accept commercial flights within a week”, he said. All hotels in Turks and Caicos suffered some form of damages, some minor, some more serious. Guests are currently in safe rooms, in safe hotels, no injuries or casualties are reported among visitors. We ensure there is enough food water and a reasonable amount of comfort for our tourists.
