Mahir Unal will be appointed as the new Minister of Culture and Tourism for Turkey. This was confirmed by the newly-elected government according to local media reports published by the Millyet daily newspaper.
The minister is 49 years old and speaks English and Arab fluently.
The minister is a graduate of the Marmara university.
He was on the board of the Turkish soccer club IBB and consulted projects involving Iraq, Malaysia, Cyprus and Lebanon.
He is recognized as an expert for city development and communication and had several consulting jobs in this regards.
He is married and has one child.
