Minutes ago Hamas’s armed wing warned airlines that it intends to target Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport with rocket attacks. This was reported by Reuters news agency.

On twitter chatter it states that the Palestinian resistance has struck Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv with four missiles; it seems like this is only the beginning.

Hamas confirms it fired 3 rockets towards Ben Gurion international Airport. The 3 M75 long-range rockets were all intercepted by the Iron Dome.

Sirens sounded in the Tel Aviv area on Friday morning at approximately 10:45 a.m. in what Hamas claims to be its first attack targeting the Ben Gurion International Airport.

The Iron Dome anti-missile defense system shot down three rockets over the Tel Aviv area, according to the IDF Spokesperson’s Office, and reported in local Israel media.

Hamas claimed responsibility for the attack, boasting that this is the first time they have specifically targeted Ben Gurion Airport.

All flights stopped for a ten-minute period during the rocket fire as of 11:20 am. Israel has no plans to close the airport despite the security situation.
