Kevin Rautenbach will now take on the position of Director for Region 11 at SKÅL International, that includes Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Guam, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, and Thailand.

Kevin Rautenbach, the current President of SKÅL International Thailand (SIT), has resigned with immediate effect. This decision comes after his appointment to the newly established Executive Board of SKÅL International (SI), which is the largest association of travel and tourism professionals in 78 countries.

Since January 2023, Kevin, who has been serving as the President of SKÅL International Krabi and Thailand, will now take on the position of Director for Region 11 at SKÅL International. Region 11 includes Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Guam, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, and Thailand.

Kevin, in his new position at SI, is prohibited from assuming any other senior positions within the organization.

He was appointed to his new role during his presidency at SKÅL International Thailand, and as a result, the Executive Committee will undergo a reorganization to replace him. The transition is anticipated to be seamless due to the implementation of continuity plans when Kevin assumed office in January 2023.

Kevin expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm for his new role at the prestigious global tourism organization. He acknowledged the recent transformative changes within SKAL, including the establishment of an international committee to enhance its governance model. Recognizing the importance of staying relevant in the rapidly evolving global tourism industry, Kevin eagerly anticipates representing dynamic countries in Asia and beyond in his responsibilities.

Kevin also expressed his gratitude towards the Thailand Executive Committee for their immense support and valuable contributions to SKÅL and the wider Tourism industry. Leading SIT during these exhilarating times has been an honor for him, and he firmly believes in the motto Strength through Collaboration – We are stronger together.
