Reunion Island is participating in the International Tourism Fair Madagascar (ITFM), taking place Thursday, May 30, to Friday, June 1. Now part of the Vanilla Islands action plan, it is natural that Reunion Island went to the 2013 edition of ITFM.

The second edition of ITFM is the result of collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism and the National Tourism Office in Madagascar and its affiliated entities. The International Exhibition of Tourism of Madagascar will be held at the Hotel Carlton Antananarivo.

The Vanilla Islands concept is a unique opportunity to showcase the regional union and the pooling of the strengths of islands in the Indian Ocean as part of a promotion of destinations with new source markets. Members of the Vanilla Islands will be featured in the ITFM area. With a presence at the ITFM, the objectives of the Vanilla Islands are:

– the development of tourism between the islands of the Indian Ocean, and

– the sustainability of partnerships between professionals from different member countries, in order to combine products, and to value both the diversity and complementary aspects of the Vanilla Islands destinations.

With the participation of 26 international tour operators seeking new destinations, it is expected that the Vanilla Islands and Reunion Island will expand their growing reputation and attract more international tourism professionals.
