Mario DiLuzio, retired travel executive, died on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at the age of 79 in Tustin, California.

Mario DiLuzio, retired travel executive, died on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at the age of 79 in Tustin, California. He is preceded in death by his wife, Adelina, of 55 years, who passed away 5 days earlier.

Mario was one of the first travel insurance visionaries that changed the world of travel insurance. He became one of the most highly-visible and supportive figures in the industry, always active at industry functions hosted by ASTA, Travel Trade, Travel Age, USTOA, Travel Marketplace, and most every industry event held in the US and around the world.

Mario is survived by his son, Michael, and his wife Phillipa DiLuzio; his daughter, Marianne, and her husband Ron Brown; his daughter Jeanmarie, and her husband Dan Rancourt; and four grandsons and a great-granddaughter, Aurora Rancourt.
