“Regarding hygiene, during the pandemic, we issued CHSE standardization, which was a leverage for Indonesian tourism. We can improve this CHSE to accommodate today’s situation. So, if it can be strengthened at the government level, in my opinion, it can overcome the hygiene issue,” Angela said.

Minister of Tourism for the 2014-2019 period, Arief Yahya, appreciated Indonesia’s achievement in reaching the top 30 in TTDI 2024.

Furthermore, he said that it is necessary to use global standards in becoming a global player. TTDI is like a certificate in the tourism sector that is recognized worldwide.

“In every competition, we must know our position. Recognize your competitors, recognize yourself, and then you will win the competition. This 22nd ranking is beyond expectations. I suggest maintaining the consistency in increasing and maintaining Indonesia’s position and achievements in the world,” Arief Yahya said.

Present on that occasion were the Permanent Secretary of the MOTCE, Ni Wayan Giri Adnyani, and the echelon I and II officials within the MOTCE.

Also attending the event were the Senior Advisor of the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs for Productivity and Competitiveness, Herbert Siagian, as well as representatives of the MOTCE’s partners.
