Earthquake hits Aksu-Diqu (XJ) area in Xinjiang on Kyrgyzstan-China border region.

Strong Magnitude 7.0 earthquake rocked Aksu-Diqu (XJ) area in Xinjiang on Kyrgyzstan-China border region few minutes ago.

The earthquake reached a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles), according to German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ).

Update: According to the latest reports, there was another, even more devastating, Magnitude 7.3 earthquake striking approximately the same area just a few minutes ago.

No additional information is available at this moment.
