Malta Pride, a big celebration of expression, love, and inclusivity, will return to the small Mediterranean islands of Malta September 6-15.

Ten days full of parades, advocacy, dancing, and endless memories, Malta Pride 2025 is unmatched.

Malta is one of  Europe’s most LGBTQ+ inclusive destinations, holding the #1 spot on the Rainbow Index for the past 10 years. It is also known for being a sun-soaked archipelago with 8,000 years of history, culinary delights including 6 Michelin star restaurants, great beaches and nightlife.

North American Representative of Malta Tourism Authority, Michelle Buttigieg, noted “the Maltese are warm, welcoming, people. Pride in Malta is a beautiful way to embrace identity, community, and human rights”

Michelle further emphasized how:

“Cultivating such a strong culture of inclusivity comes from ongoing laws and policy that prioritize creating and protecting a safe travel destination for all.”

Destination wedding? Having legalized same-sex marriage in 2017, the islands are the perfect backdrop for weddings and honeymoons for all.

Other milestones include offering full adoption rights to LGBTQ+ couples, actively promoting inclusive education and healthcare, and legal gender recognition reform.

Malta

The sunny islands of Malta, in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, are home to a most remarkable concentration of intact built heritage, including the highest density of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in any nation-state anywhere. Valletta, built by the proud Knights of St. John, is one of the UNESCO sites and the European Capital of Culture for 2018. Malta’s patrimony in stone ranges from the oldest free-standing stone architecture in the world, to one of the British Empire’s most formidable defensive systems, and includes a rich mix of domestic, religious and military architecture from the ancient, medieval and early modern periods. With superbly sunny weather, attractive beaches, a thriving nightlife and 8,000 years of intriguing history, there is a great deal to see and do.
