Guam Shines at Seoul International Travel Fair Showcasing Unique Charm and Cultural Excellence

Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB), in collaboration with its tourism partners, showcased Guam’s unique charm at the 39th Seoul International Travel Fair (SITF) from May 9 to 12 in COEX, Seoul.

Led by GVB Korea Marketing Committee Chairman, Eun Ho Sang, Guam’s delegation consisted of 12 industry partners. Their presence at the travel show underscored Guam’s unwavering dedication to Korean travelers. 

This year, SITF boasted 512 booths from 39 destinations and attracted an estimated 42,000 visitors. Mr. Eun Ho Sang, Chairman of GVB’s Korea Marketing Committee, took part in the opening ceremony, emphasizing Korea’s pivotal role in Guam’s tourism economy. 

“Korea continues to be a key player in Guam’s tourism landscape. With strong support from the community and our island’s leaders, GVB and our partners are committed to making Guam the ultimate travel destination,” said Eun Ho Sang. “We aim to showcase Guam’s diverse allure, inviting visitors to experience the warm Chamorro spirit amidst vibrant colors, offering a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.” 

Throughout the four-day event, the Guam delegation captivated visitors with the ‘Color of Guam – Taste of Guam’ theme at the Guam pavilion. Attendees savored ‘Made in Guam’ coffee and snacks, and received giveaways during the consumer event. Cultural performances by Guma’ Taotao Tåno’ led by Vince San Nicolas and photo opportunities with the ko’ko’ bird mascot added to the excitement.
