Tour Georgia in Svaneti in the north-western highlands, Imereti in the west, Samegrelo and Guria in the western regions, Adjara along the Black Sea, Tusheti in the northeast, and Kakheti in the east.

New drive to promote Georgia as a tourist destination has been initiated by the Georgian National Tourism Administration through a recently launched campaign featuring numerous celebrities and influencers.

The selected individuals will showcase the adventure tourism spots picked by the Georgian National Tourism Administration, cultural and historical heritage sites, and local cuisine, which are deemed as most impressive.

The initial phase of the new campaign was launched in Georgia’s western region of Racha, and it will be expanded to cover the entire country.

The ongoing Gemo Fest event, which aims to promote Georgia‘s culinary tourism, has taken place in both the northern highland town of Mestia and the western city of Kutaisi.

Entrepreneurship and the wine industry were showcased through various events, accompanied by musical performances. The program featured local talent presenting a diverse range of traditional and unique dishes.

According to the Georgian National Tourism Administration officials, the GNTA organized tours in various regions of Georgia, including Svaneti in the north-western highlands, Imereti in the west, Samegrelo and Guria in the western regions, Adjara along the Black Sea, Tusheti in the northeast, and Kakheti in the east. These tours involved photographers, journalists, chefs, and tourist companies.

The objective of the tours is to boost awareness of various regions and their offerings to tourists, stimulate domestic visitor numbers, and provide assistance to local businesses.

Georgian National Tourism Administration is a Legal entity of Public law, a part of the system of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, independently conducting activity by state control.

Goals and objectives of the Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA) are formation and implementation of the Georgian tourism development state policy, promotion of the sustainable tourism development, promotion of a high export income growth and job creation in the country on the basis of the tourism development, attraction of the foreign tourists to Georgia and development of the domestic tourism as well, promotion of human resources development in the field of tourism destinations, infrastructure and tourism.

The Head of the Administration has three Deputies, including the first Deputy Head. Head of the Administration conducts all activities of GNTA, makes decisions on the issues within the Administration’s competence, and implements general supervision of the Administration.
