Hurricane Beryl developed from a tropical storm over the Atlantic to a monster category-four hurricane, threatening some of the most beautiful beaches and tourist infrastructure in the Caribbean. The Caribbean always had its fair share of devastating storms and has shown surprising resilience, in taking good care of its visitors during such challenging hours.

Guyana, is a country on the northern coast of South America, part of the historic mainland British West Indies. Guyana is an indigenous word that means “Land of Many Waters.

President Dr. Irfaan announced his concern for his “brothers and sisters” in the Caribbean, looking at the potential for devastation by approaching category 4 Hurricane Bery.

Our prayers, love, and thoughts are with all of our Caribbean brothers and sisters, especially those in the direct path of Hurricane Beryl. Today, I spoke with many leaders to assure them of Guyana’s support and we are all praying for the best. I appeal to all citizens in Guyana’s support and we are all praying for the best. I appeal to all citizens in the region to follow their national advisories.

This life-threatening storm is currently over the Atlantic and will have a major impact on the Caribbean waters.

Prediction see the storm over Grenada Monday afternoon, Jamaica could be in the path on Wednesday, followed by the Cayman Islands on Thursday morning, hitting Yucatan, Mexico early Friday.

In Jamaica, the Capitol Kingston is getting ready for Hurricane Beryl. Mayr Andrew Swaby is taking steps to prepare the capital for the possible effects of Hurricane Beryl, including assessing infrastructure and making arrangements for the homeless.

Hurricane Beryl has significant implications for tourism and travel in the Caribbean. International travel and tourism stakeholders, including airlines, cruise operators, and local businesses, must stay updated on Beryl’s progress and take necessary precautions.

Authorities in the Caribbean have extensive experience handling hurricanes and know that the safety of tourists and residents is paramount, and timely information can help mitigate risks. In many Caribbean nations, tourism is their main export.

World Tourism Network president and international travel and tourism security expert Dr. Peter Tarlow told eTurboNews from Mexico today:

“It’s important that not only authorities but also private stakeholders understand visitors have special needs and have no experience in such a situation. Therefore it’s essential not only for public officials, and police, but also for hotels, airlines, and transportation companies to recognize this and provide the extra help needed for visitors to stay safe during such a dangerous storm.”
