The Hon. Dr. Liaojunqiao, the Secretary General of the Island Development Forum from China, has come forward to bring more support for the 2011 Seychelles “Carnaval International de Victoria.” In a small ceremony at the Tourism Board’s Bel Ombre offices, Dr. Liaojunqiao presented to Alain St.Ange, CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board and eTurboNews Ambassador, in the presence of Elsia Grandcourt, the Board’s Deputy CEO, a check in the value of R.20,000 (US$1610).
Dr. Liaojunqiao met Alain St.Ange during his visit to the China EXPO 2010 as part of Seychelles President James Michel’s delegation. He is today looking at starting a tourist business to promote Seychelles in China. Dr. Liaojunqiao will be in Seychelles for the carnival and will be present at the opening ceremony alongside the other sponsors of this national event, which will be attended by President James Michel and other dignitaries.
