AYANA Komodo Waecicu Beach has highlighted a series of environmental and community initiatives implemented across West Manggarai and the wider East Nusa Tenggara region during 2024 and 2025.
Working with local communities, schools, conservation groups, and government partners, the programs focused on marine conservation, reforestation, education, health, and emergency support. Coral restoration activities near the resort rehabilitated about 427 square meters of reef, now supporting more than 150 fish species, while land-based efforts included planting over 1,000 trees across school and community sites.
Social initiatives ranged from marine education workshops and blood donation drives to humanitarian assistance during volcanic activity. Looking ahead, AYANA Komodo plans to expand its coral restoration work and introduce a food waste awareness and donation program in 2026, as Labuan Bajo continues to develop as a tourism destination.
