Al Murooj Rotana Dubai was voted “Dubai Leading Meeting Hotel” at the World Travel Awards (WTA) 2008, held at Atlantis the Palm, Palm Jumeirah in Dubai on October 28.

Hailed as “the Oscars of the travel industry” by the Wall Street Journal, the WTA is the travel industry’s most prestigious and comprehensive awards program bringing the winners worldwide recognition as supreme centers of excellence. Involving the opinions of leading international travel professionals, the awards provide a comprehensive base to measure the quality and services within the industry.

Since opening its doors in 2005, the five-star property has won numerous accolades including the Golden award in the “Best Conference/Convention Hotel” category at the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Awards 2008.

Mr. Hussein Hachem, general manager of Al Murooj Rotana Dubai commented, “We were honored indeed by receiving such high acknowledgement. The fact that this is our first international award makes me even more proud of this great achievement. This award also acknowledges the hard work of the entire team at Al Murooj Rotana Dubai and will definitely be very strong motivation for us to keep moving from strength to strength in the future”.
