Almost three quarters of Germans think the country’s immigration policies are “too careless,” a new YouGov survey reveals.

The survey was carried out on 2040 people between June 20 and July 4, when Chancellor Angela Merkel and Interior Minister Horst Seehofer were in the midst of a debate about accepting refugees at the German-Austrian border.

More than half of those surveyed thought the country accepted too many refugees, while seven percent said it was too little.
