FESTAC Africa is a cultural festival that aims to change how Africans see themselves and how the world sees them. It also aims to create an environment where the African diaspora and those from the continent can reconnect with their roots.

FESTAC Africa is also known as the World’s Black and African Festival of Arts and Culture. The first festival, also known as Festac ’77, was held in Lagos, Nigeria in 1977. The festival celebrated African culture and showcased African music, fine art, literature, drama, dance, and religion.

Sustainable Growth Trajectory for Africa through Culture, Trade, Travel and Tourism is the slogan for Festac 2024, and this time the world is invited to dance with Africa and do business with Africa- tourism business from 20-26 May in Kenya.

The new partner on board is the World Tourism Network providing a global perspective with its members in 133 countries.
