United Airlines will keep a close eye on the situation in Tel Aviv and make necessary adjustments to the schedule.

United Airlines announced that it intends to recommence a daily flight connecting New York/Newark and Tel Aviv, marking the initial phase of reinstating crucial passenger and cargo transportation that was halted in October.

The flights from Newark to Tel Aviv scheduled for March 2 and 4 will include a stop in Munich to confirm the readiness of all service providers for the non-stop service between Newark and Tel Aviv. There will be no flights from Newark to Tel Aviv on March 3 and 5. The airline’s objective is to resume daily nonstop service to Tel Aviv starting from March 6.

This decision by major US carrier to resume service was based on an extensive safety analysis, which involved collaboration with security experts and government officials from both the United States and Israel. Close cooperation was also maintained with the Air Line Pilots Association and the Association of Flight Attendants to establish well-informed and secure protocols.

United Airlines will keep a close eye on the situation in Tel Aviv and make necessary adjustments to the schedule, including modifications to the recently announced resumption of service from New York/Newark. The carrier will add a second daily flight from Newark to Tel Aviv starting in May, once travel demand picks up. United will also assess the possibility of resuming Israel flights from San Francisco, Washington Dulles, and Chicago O’Hare in the fall.
