Tourism Ministers from South Africa & Madagascar are in Seychelles for IORA Ministerial Meeting

Ms. Tokozile Xasa, the Deputy Minister of Tourism from South Africa, and Mr. Benjamina Ramanantsao, the Minister of Tourism from Madagascar, have arrived in Seychelles, leading their own respective delegations for the Indian Ocean Rim (IORA) Ministerial Meeting that is taking place at the SAVOY Resort on the promenade at Beau Vallon Beach.

It was Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, who was personally at the airport to welcome the two ministers as they set foot on Seychelles from an Air Seychelles flight from Mauritius.

When he welcomed the South African and Madagascar ministers, Alain St.Ange said that he was delighted that they were in Seychelles to support this IORA Tourism Ministerial Meeting. “We need to meet to work out the way forward. We need to consolidate the tourism industry of the Indian Ocean Region, and this we can only achieve when we are all working together for our region,” said Minister Alain St.Ange.

The IORA Ministerial Meeting is being held on Thursday and Friday in the Seychelles.

Seychelles is a founding member of the International Coalition of Tourism Partners (ICTP) .
