LOS ANGELES, California – Green Globe congratulates TI’ME Hotels on the launch of its carbon-offset initiatives at both TI’ME Grand Plaza Hotel and TI’ME Oak Hotel & Suites in Dubai.
Through their Hotel Stay Carbon Offset Program, TI’ME aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by saving over 320 tons of carbon emissions this year. Guests can opt to pay AED15 to offset their carbon emissions through consumption of water and energy during their stay.
Offset funds raised by this program will be invested on improving the lives of families in rural Ethiopia by installing solar lighting in homes. Or alternately guests can direct their offsets towards purchasing energy efficient cooking stoves in Darfur, Sudan so that families are provided with a safe and hygienic method of cooking.
