Taking advantage of Ethiopian Airlines’ global routes, the Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB) stated the Addis Abab-based global air carrier has been flying with Tanzania’s leading wildlife parks.

The official tourism marketing, promotion, and development board signed a special agreement with Ethiopian Airlines to brand Tanzania’s tourist attractions throughout the airline’s global routes.

Under the agreement, Ethiopian Airlines is now using Ngorongoro and Kilimanjaro names on its aircraft under a contract with TTB for tourism promotion. Both of the two parks are counted as the most attractive tourist sites in East Africa.

Tanzania Tourist Board officials said the airline was using the two Tanzanian most attractive tourist parks to market them in various destinations that it flies across the world.

“Having names on the planes is part of the implementation of the contract aiming to make Tanzania benefit, as the airline has many routes worldwide and can, therefore, pick tourists from numerous points,” said TTB official.

Ethiopian Airlines flies to a number of major cities in Europe including Frankfurt, London, Paris, Rome, Brussels, and Stockholm.

The airline which is the largest on the African continent, according to reports from the aviation industry, also flies to Bangkok, Beijing, New Delhi, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, and Mumbai across Asia to numerous destinations in the Middle East.

The Addis Ababa-based carrier also flies to Washington DC, Los Angeles, Newark, and Toronto in North America.

Looking to expand its wings across the African skies, Ethiopian Airlines is among the key airline partners taking part in the forthcoming Africa Travel Association (ATA) 41st World Conference to be taking place in the Rwandan capital of Kigali by the end of this month.
