On February 13, a Singapore-owned light aircraft crashed near Kapar town, west of Kuala Lumpur, resulting in the deaths of the two individuals on board.

The victims were identified as pilot Daniel Yee, aged 30, and passenger Roshaan Singh Raina, aged 42.

Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan confirmed the recovery of their bodies from the cockpit at 8:05 pm, noting that the wreckage was buried 2 meters deep due to the crash’s impact.

The bodies will undergo post-mortem examinations and identification at Klang Hospital.

Debris from the aircraft was scattered within a 50-meter radius of the crash site. The search operation, involving approximately 130 to 150 personnel from various agencies, concluded with the recovery efforts.

The Air Accident Investigation Bureau, under Malaysia’s Transport Ministry, will lead the investigation into the incident.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) revealed that the two-seater Blackshape Gabriel BK 160 aircraft, operated by the Air Adventure Flying Club, had departed from Subang Airport in Kuala Lumpur for a recreational flight at 1:28 pm.

The last contact with the Kuala Lumpur Air Traffic Control Centre occurred at 1:35 pm, with no distress call received.

This tragic event has prompted authorities to delve into the circumstances surrounding the crash, seeking answers for the untimely loss of the two Malaysian lives.
