Medjet Kicks Off New Partnership With Veterans Advantage

Medjet, the industry leader in air medical transport and travel security memberships for travelers, has announced a new partnership with Veterans Advantage, creator of the leading secure military and veteran ID card in America.

Medjet memberships will now be available at a discount (10% off most annual memberships) to the Veterans Advantage community through its innovative military discounts marketplace and VetRewards program.

“We’ve long been searching for a verified way to offer U.S. military, veterans, National Guard, and their family members, a discount on Medjet, and Veterans Advantage does that for us,” said Mike Hallman, CEO of Medjet. “We’re proud to have been chosen as their air medical transport and travel security offering. Protecting the men and women who have given so much to protect our freedoms will be our honor, and we look forward to welcoming new Medjet members from their community.”

An industry forerunner, Medjet provides travelers hospitalized more than 150 miles from home with premier air medical transport to a hospital of their choice at home. Most travel insurance medical evacuation coverage is only to the “nearest acceptable” hospital. In October of 2020, Medjet was the first program of its kind to announce transport benefits for its members hospitalized with COVID-19, at no additional membership costs. It continues to include COVID transport benefits, and for all other hospitalization events, globally. A MedjetHorizon membership adds access to a 24/7 security crisis line with in-country security response benefits (including extraction, if necessary). It’s currently Medjet’s fastest growing membership.

“We are always searching for new lifestyle-enhancing products and services that offer savings for our community,” said Scott Higgins, Co-CEO of Veterans Advantage. “Many of our retired members are older, with the time, means and desire to travel, and many of our younger, active duty members spend vacation time traveling with family. A service that can get a sick or injured and hospitalized traveler back to the U.S. for treatment and recovery, and back into their own health care network and coverages, is an excellent travel benefits and savings partner. We are thrilled to add them to our Travel & Lifestyle Benefits portfolio.”

Since 1991, Medjet has upheld the highest service standards in the industry. With the partnership between Veterans Advantage and Medjet, the military community can now access Medjet memberships starting at $265 per year for an individual (reg. $295), and $360 for a family (two adults and up to five children) vs. $399. Veterans Advantage marks yet another major partnership for Medjet, but the first with a verified military community.

Medjet membership benefits are intended for personal travel, and do not apply to active-duty deployment or war zones. Full membership Rules and Regulations are available at all times on Medjet’s website.
