Kenya Airways last London flight

The airline mostly flies tourists booked to visit the East African Community (EAC) member states of Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi. The tourist island of Zanzibar is the other key destination for Kenya Airways.

The UK issued a statement saying that from April 9, visitors who have been in or transited through Kenya in the previous 10 days will be denied entry into England citing COVID-19 risks.

“There are new restrictions for entering the United Kingdom from Kenya. From 04:00 UK time on April 9, visitors who have been in or transited through Kenya in the previous 10 days will be refused entry into England,” read a message from the UK High Commission in Kenya.

British, Irish, and third-country nationals with residence rights arriving in England from Kenya will be required to quarantine in a government-approved facility for 10 days. However, different rules apply for arrivals into Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

Kenya Airways has been operating flights to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania and Entebbe in Uganda, as well as Lusaka and Livingstone in Zambia.

The airline flies international flights connecting Nairobi to Central and West African cities providing on-transit connections to Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
