New A350-1000 will serve as JAL’s latest long-haul plane on Tokyo Haneda – New York JFK route.

Japan Airlines (JAL) has received its inaugural A350-1000 aircraft from Airbus’ delivery facility in Toulouse, France. The A350-1000 will serve as the airline’s latest long-haul plane, commencing operations on the esteemed Tokyo Haneda – New York JFK route.

Japan Airlines‘ Airbus A350 has a four-class configuration. In First Class, there are six Suites available, offering three options: sofa, seat, and either a single or double bed. Business Class also provides Suites, with 54 seats that have privacy doors. Additionally, both Premium Economy Class (24 seats) and Economy Class (155 seats) offer increased personal space and comfort within their respective categories.

JAL made a purchase of 31 A350 airplanes, including 18 A350-900s and 13 A350-1000s. Since 2019, the airline has been using the A350-900 for flights on busy Japanese domestic routes.

The A350 is a contemporary and highly efficient widebody aircraft, leading in long-range capabilities among planes that accommodate 300-410 passengers. Its design incorporates cutting-edge technologies and aerodynamics, resulting in unparalleled levels of efficiency and comfort.

The A350 boasts the most silent cabin among twin-aisle planes, ensuring a serene journey for both travelers and crew. Its state-of-the-art in-flight amenities provide the ultimate comfort during air travel. With advanced engines and lightweight materials, the A350 stands out as the most fuel-efficient large widebody aircraft. Additionally, it significantly reduces noise with a 50 percent smaller footprint compared to previous generation planes, making it an excellent choice for airports worldwide.

As of November 2023, the A350 Family has secured 1,070 confirmed orders from 57 global customers, positioning it as one of the most accomplished widebody aircraft to date.
