Jamaica Tourism Minister meets with Qatar Airways CEO

Jamaica Tourism Minister, Hon. Edmund Bartlett, met with Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer, Akbar Al Baker, at the ITB global tourism tradeshow in Berlin, Germany, this past Friday, March 9, 2018.

Qatar Airways last year bought a 49 percent stake in Air Italy, one of that nation’s leading carriers.

The airline operates a hub-and-spoke network, linking over 150 international destinations across Africa, Central Asia, Europe, Far East, South Asia, Middle East, North America, South America and Oceania from its base in Qatar, using a fleet of more than 180 aircraft. The

Qatar Airways Group employs more than 40,000 people; 24,000 of whom work directly for Qatar Airways.
