A350-1000 will be Delta’s biggest and most advanced aircraft, marking a significant advancement in their global expansion.

Airbus has been selected by Delta Air Lines to fulfill its requirements for advanced and fuel-efficient widebody airplanes. Delta has made an initial purchase of 20 A350-1000 aircraft, which will become a new addition to Delta’s fleet.

Christian Scherer, CEO of Airbus‘ Commercial Aircraft business, expressed gratitude for Delta’s ongoing trust in Airbus’ solutions for their fleet requirements. Delta, as the inaugural U.S. airline to operate the A350-900 with remarkable success, eagerly welcomes the addition of the A350-1000. This new aircraft will bring forth expanded opportunities for Delta and its customers, allowing them to further enhance their impressive global network. Airbus takes pride in providing aircraft that contribute to Delta’s fleet efficiency at an exceptional level.

According to Delta’s CEO, Ed Bastian, the A350-1000 will be Delta’s biggest and most advanced aircraft, marking a significant advancement in their global expansion. The aircraft will enhance their fleet by providing a superior customer experience, including additional premium seats and top-notch amenities, along with improved cargo capabilities.

Delta Air Lines presently utilizes over 450 Airbus planes, spanning across all of the Airbus product lines ranging from the A220 to the A350-900. Additionally, they have placed orders for more than 200 additional aircraft.

Upon incorporation into Delta’s fleet, the A350-1000 will offer operational efficiency that leads to decreased fuel consumption and emissions, as well as decreased operating and maintenance expenses. Passengers will relish the Airbus Airspace cabin’s generousness and serenity, wide seating, lofty ceilings, and adaptable ambient lighting, all thoughtfully crafted to alleviate fatigue and minimize the effects of long-haul travel fatigue and jet lag.

The A350 is the most advanced and fuel-efficient widebody aircraft globally, and it leads in the 300-410-seater category for long-range flights, covering up to 9,700nm effectively on both short-haul and ultra-long-haul routes. It incorporates cutting-edge technologies, aerodynamics, lightweight materials, and next-generation engines, resulting in a significant 25% improvement in fuel consumption, operating expenses, and COâ‚‚ emissions, as well as a 50% reduction in noise compared to previous competing aircraft models.
