A Terrified Letter from Iran: I Love My Country

Friend in Iran

The people of Iran are helpless in a situation they and not even their government official have control. The heat is boiling between Iran and Israel.

The United States, Germany, France, the UK, India, Russia, Austria, Canada, and Norway are strongly warning their citizens not to travel to Israel and Iran.

The U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem has issued a security alert restricting the movement of government employees and their families.

A Terrified Letter from Iran: I Love My Country

US Military increases presence in the Middle East.

The Pentagon is increasing its presence in the Middle East in response to the potential retaliation from Iran following a strike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria. President Biden cautioned Iran against launching an attack while acknowledging the likelihood of it happening in the future.

“I am certain that the world sees the true face of Iran,” Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said Friday, according to a statement from the ministry.

The People of Iran are its Enemy

Iran is forgetting that its people are its enemy. The ground underneath Iran is shaking hard.

A widely traveled and prominent eTurboNews reader and member of the travel and tourism industry from Iran explained the current situation in the Islamic Republic to eTurboNews.

A letter from Iran

I am terrified about the future of my people!

90% of Iranian people are in a terrible economic situation and work very hard to survive. People like me are children from before the revolution, so we stand tall and still have some small reserves from that time.

Yesterday, when I went to buy a 4 kg meal for my family, I saw one person in the store who was unable to pay and was about to leave empty-handed, unable to feed her family.

I understood she could not buy this small portion of meat for her family. 1 kg meat is 9 million rials. Prices of tomatoes went up 9-fold in one year.

Ultimately, I bought her 1kg of meat with my money. Such scenes between strangers unfold here every day—people in Iran care.

I love my country, but sometimes I think it is no longer mine.

Many of my friends, some of whom have high government positions, feel like me but cannot do anything. This government is in the hands of some oligarchs and is helpless.
