Major train accident in Upper Bavaria, Germany


Upper Bavaria, a major spot in Germany for tourism and ski sports. A major train accident in Bad Aibling (County of Rosenheim, Upper- Bavaria) was recorded around 7 am local time Tuesday morning.

Eight passengers are dead, more than 150 including tourists are feared to be injured.

The route Holzkirchen- Rosenheim close to Bad Aibling was the scene of the accident when two passenger trains operated by Deutsche Bahn (DB) got off the track and collided.

Currently the route is closed for traffic and first responders are on the scene.
