LONDON, England – The Kenya Tourist Board UK and Ireland is preparing to celebrate Kenya as part of their Tourism Program to be held from Saturday, August 4 to Monday, August 6, 2012 at the Kenya National House in Stratford.

Entry is free, and visitors are invited to join the Kenya Tourist Board for a weekend of fun for all the family on August 4 and 5 with a packed program of activities, including cultural performances by Kenyan Maasais, a spa area to relax in, safari wii games for all to enjoy, and a golf simulator to test your swing. The Games will also be shown on screens throughout the weekend so visitors can watch the Kenyan athletes compete for medals as part of the Kenya House experience.

On Monday, August 6, the Kenya Tourist Board will host a Tourism Business Day with guest speakers and presentations by the Ministry of Tourism, Kenya Tourist Board, and the Kenyatta International Conference Centre. The Tourism Business Day aims to look at Vision 2030, the future of tourism in Africa, investment opportunities, and funding for tourism projects, heritage tourism, and the hospitality service industry in Kenya.

Kenya House is located just a short, 10-minute walk from the Olympic Stadium and provides a great opportunity to celebrate this magnificent country and get behind Team Kenya.

As the official home to Kenya during the games, Kenya House offers a window into the wealth of unique opportunities Kenya has to offer, from visionary investments and trading ideas, to the country’s rich cultural heritage and dominance in tourism to Africa.

The Kenya House is open to the public from Friday, July27-Sunday, August 12, however, the Kenya Tourist Board will also be hosting a private media and trade event at the Tourism Program on each day. Family, friends, and guests are welcome, and there will be a crèche facility with Kenya-inspired kids activities for guests bringing children – please RSVP to [email protected] (space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis).
