The recent Council of Ministers major reshuffle by President James Michel of the Seychelles has seen Alain St.Ange, the dynamic CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, propelled to the position of Seychelles Minister of Tourism & Culture. This had left a vacuum at the head of the Tourism Board, which was immediately filled by Elsia Grandcourt, the former Deputy CEO of the island’s Tourism Board.
President James Michel promoted Elsia Grandcourt to the position of CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board with immediate effect. Elsia has been the right-hand person of Alain St.Ange for the last one-and-a-half years. She obtained a Higher Diploma in Hotel Management at the Singapore Hotel Association Training and Educational Centre (SHATEC) and worked at the Hyatt Regency in Singapore for her attachment period.
Elsia Grandcourt worked at the Coco de Mer Hotel at Praslin in Seychelles before joining the Air Seychelles onboard team as a Senior Flight Attendant. Elsia also worked at the Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa and Creole Travel Services before joining the Seychelles Tourism Board as Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
Elsia Grandcourt is now the Chief Executive Officer of the Seychelles Tourism Board, which is part of the newly-created Ministry of Tourism & Culture, headed by Alain St.Ange as Minister.
