The expansion of these flight options is made possible by a bilateral agreement between the United States and China to increase air travel between the two nations.

Starting on August 29, United Airlines will introduce four additional weekly flights connecting Los Angeles and Shanghai. These flights will be operated using a Boeing 787-9 aircraft.

Furthermore, from late October onwards, the Shanghai-Los Angeles route will transition to daily service. This new offering complements United’s existing daily services between San Francisco and Shanghai, as well as San Francisco and Beijing. The expansion of these flight options is made possible by a bilateral agreement between the United States and China to increase air travel between the two nations.

United Airlines will expand its services with a second daily flight from Los Angeles to Hong Kong starting on October 26. This new route will be operated by a Boeing 787-9 aircraft, adding to the existing two daily flights from San Francisco to Hong Kong. With this addition, United Airlines now boasts the most extensive and varied international route network among US carriers, with nonstop flights to 134 international destinations in 67 countries.
