At the Ministerial Summit at World Travel Market (WTM) 2015, it was an opportunity for Antonio Canto, the Vice President of CNN International, and Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, to meet once again.

The last time Mr. Canto of CNN and Minister St.Ange met was in Ghana when the UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organization) had organized a “Branding for Africa” meeting.

Minister St.Ange remains a popular figure at world tourism forums, and he has managed to ensure the Seychelles islands are today visible and relevant as a tourism destination. It is at this week’s World Travel Market that Minister Alain St.Ange collected the sought after COUNTRY DESTINATION OF THE YEAR award which this year went to Seychelles. This is the highest recognition issued by the Luxury Travel Guide. Visibility of a country keeps it in the lime light and talked about. This is what most tourism destinations try to do and what the Seychelles Tourism & Culture Minister does so well.
