American Eagle Airlines to begin service between Dallas/Fort Worth and Tampico, Mexico


FORT WORTH, Texas – American Eagle Airlines, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, will add a daily nonstop flight between Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and General Francisco Javier Mina International Airport in Tampico, Mexico (TAM), beginning April 7.

American Eagle will operate the service with 44-seat Embraer ERJ-140 jets.

“We are pleased to be adding service to Tampico,” said Peter Bowler, President and CEO of American Eagle Airlines. “This will be the eighth city in Mexico that American Eagle will serve from DFW Airport.”

With the addition of the new DFW-Tampico service, American Airlines and American Eagle will serve 15 cities in Mexico from DFW: Acapulco (AA); Aguascalientes (AE); Cancun (AA); Chihuahua (AE); Cozumel (AA); Guadalajara (AA/AE); Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo (AA); Leon (AE); Mexico City (AA); Monterrey (AA/AE); Puerto Vallarta (AA); San Jose/Los Cabos (AA); San Luis Potosi (AE); and Torreon (AE).
