The 11th Nepal Tourism Summit by eTurboNews (eTN) concluded Thursday night at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington, DC.
The winner of a drawing held at the event on Thursday night was Raha Yazdi from Saturn Express Travel in Falls Church, Virginia. She won an all-expenses-paid, 8-day trip to Nepal, with air travel sponsored by Turkish Airlines.
The summit was attended by the Honorable Ambassador HE Dr. Arjun Kumar Karki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Government of Nepal to the United States of America in Washington DC; the Honorable Ghanshyam Upadhyaya, Joint Secretary for the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation for the Government of Nepal; Rohini Prasad Khanal, Senior Officer of the Nepal Tourism Board; and 40 Washington travel professionals, along with representatives from the media.
Eleven selected tour operators from Nepal attended the event along with Turkish Airlines representatives.
The Nepal Tourism Summit was organized by eTurboNews and the Publisher, Juergen Steinmetz, and VP of International Relations, Dmytro Makarov, who attended and assisted at the summit.
Travel agents, tour operators, and media in attendance were excited to receive the information presented by Nepal, which opened up new business exchanges and tour products for Nepal and the US travel trade.
