The President of Madagascar, Mr. Hery Rajaonarimampianina, last week welcomed Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, to his Iavoloha Palace to discuss cooperation in the field of tourism and also regional tourism.

Minister Alain St.Ange was in Madagascar for the 2014 edition of the International Tourism Fair of Madagascar which appears on the Calendar of Events of the Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands alongside the Carnaval International de Victoria of the Seychelles (April), the Cultural & Gastronomic Festival of the Comoros (August), and the Festival Liberte Metisse of La Reunion (December).

Madagascar was a joint co-host alongside Seychelles, La Reunion, Mayotte, and South Africa KwaZulu Natal of the of the 2014 edition of the Carnaval International de Victoria.

Today, Air Madagascar is finalizing formalities to start flights to the Seychelles in the bid to launch joint promotions in tourism source markets for twin-center holidays in the two islands both renowned for their diversity of culture and for their natural landscape.

Minister St.Ange of the Seychelles said that he was honored to have been invited to meet with President Hery Rajaonarimampianina at his Iavoloha Palace in Antananarivo.
