Jamaica Minister of Tourism Hon. Edmund Bartlett (seen right in the photo) recently greeted the Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, His Excellency Lee Young Gyu. The occasion was a recent courtesy call at the New Kingston offices of the Ministry of Tourism.

Among the issues discussed was Korea being one of the fastest-growing outbound destinations, and ways in which Jamaica can increase visitor arrivals from that country. Minister Bartlett also used the opportunity to discuss Korea’s possible participation in the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Government of Jamaica, and World Bank Group Conference on Jobs & Inclusive Growth: Partnerships for Sustainable Tourism, which takes place at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in November.
