Indian arrivals grow by 22.4% for Munich

Munich has seen a strong growth in the number of visitor arrivals from India during January – May of 2015, recording a 22.4 % increase over same period in 2014.

Munich has seen a strong growth in the number of visitor arrivals from India during January – May of 2015, recording a 22.4 % increase over same period in 2014. This shows the India as one of the faster growing markets for not only Munich but also Incoming for Germany. Correspondingly, there is also an increase in the room nights, for Indians visiting Munich.

Munich was one of the most popular German destinations for guests from the Asian region for 2014. With an increase of 8.8 percent to 1.5 million overnights from the Asian market, Munich won additional market share in 2014. This positive trend was significantly aided by the booming development of the Indian market (+6.6 percent) in comparison to 2013. The average period of stay of Indian visitors amounted to 3.8 days and was higher than for guests from all the other markets.
