Air Serbia, the newest addition to the terminal’s lineup, has committed to operating out of the facility, which is set to welcome customers in 2026.

The New Terminal One at New York John F. Kennedy International Airport has announced a new partnership with the flag carrier of Serbia. This collaboration is part of the ongoing $19 billion redevelopment of JFK, led by the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey. Air Serbia, the newest addition to the terminal’s lineup, has committed to operating out of this state-of-the-art facility, which is set to welcome customers in 2026.

Air Serbia currently operates from Terminal 1 at New York JFK, providing up to seven weekly flights connecting Belgrade and New York JFK. The Serbian national airline initiated JFK service in 2016, and its collaboration with the New Terminal One showcases its increasing dedication to the city of New York.

“We are excited to have Air Serbia join our growing portfolio of carriers that will operate at the New Terminal One, offering customers nonstop service between New York and the historic city of Belgrade,” said The New Terminal One President and CEO, Dr. Gerrard P. Bushell. “As we advance towards our scheduled opening in 2026, our momentum to become JFK’s terminal of choice for global airlines is accelerating. We thank the team at Air Serbia for placing their trust in The New Terminal One and look forward to welcoming them on board.”

The addition of Air Serbia to the expanding list of partner airlines at the New Terminal One is an exciting development, according to Dr. Gerrard P. Bushell, President and CEO of The New Terminal One. By offering nonstop service between New York and the historic city of Belgrade, New Terminal One is further enhancing its position as JFK’s preferred terminal for international carriers.

“We thank the team at Air Serbia for placing their trust in The New Terminal One and look forward to welcoming them on board,” added New Terminal One chief.

Seven partner airlines, including Air France, KLM, Etihad, Korean Air, LOT Polish Airlines, EVA Air, and the newly announced Air Serbia, have been announced by the New Terminal One. Additional partner airlines will be announced in the future. The goal of the New Terminal One is to be ranked among the top 5 Skytrax terminals worldwide, and it will provide advanced technology and a high-quality retail and dining experience that reflects the essence of New York.

The headhouse and 14 gates of the terminal are planned to open in June 2026. The whole terminal is expected to be fully open by 2030. Once completed, the terminal will have 23 gates and occupy 2.4 million square feet of space, making it the largest international-only terminal at JFK. It will encompass the area currently taken up by Terminal 1, as well as the former Terminals 2 and 3.
