There is nothing like having a wide range of hotels to choose from when you are a tourist or a business traveler.

There is nothing like having a wide range of hotels to choose from when you are a tourist or a business traveler. In Kampala the hotel options just increased, following the opening of three CityBlue Hotels in Kigali, Rwanda, between April and June last year, the first “Urban by CityBlue” has now opened in Kampala’s Nakasero suburb at the location of the former Mamba Point Guest House along Akii Bua Road.

After adding more rooms and remodeling the property, the “Urban” is now fully operational. Described as a small boutique hotel, it is the fourth such property in East Africa with another one due to open in Nairobi, Kenya, in 2015.

CityBlue has currently three brands: “Express by CityBlue,” a business traveler budget hotel; “CityBlue Hotel,” which appears to be the middle-range brand; and “Urban by CityBlue,” which falls into the boutique style category.

From additional information obtained, the hotel company is planning to open another “Urban by CityBlue” next year in Entebbe and an “Express by CityBlue” also in Entebbe to serve business travelers seeking comfort at affordable tariffs.
