(eTN) – Visitors to the spice island of Zanzibar in Tanzania can now take advantage of a new feature available to them from the international airport, aimed to show them their resort and the rest of the island from the air.

A microlight operation has been set up and can take one passenger at a time into the skies over Zanzibar for anywhere between 15 minutes to an hour, depending how deep one’s pockets are.

It is understood that depending on the season, passengers can also see dolphin and whale shoals offshore, subject to some luck, of course, although the main thrust is to get tourists up in the air to see the island and its attractions and their beach resort from this unique perspective.
