KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – A double-decker bus carrying Thai tourists overturned on a Malaysian highway Monday, killing 26 Thai tourists were killed when a double-decker bus overturned on a Malaysian highway Monday. The tourists were on their way back from a highland resort.

The Associated Press reports that a district police officer and fire department official say the tourists were heading to Kuala Lumpur after a weekend trip to the popular Cameron Highlands holiday destination in central Malaysia when their bus apparently spun out of control and crashed into a road divider Monday morning.

They said rescuers recovered 22 bodies, while another four people died on the way to the hospital. They said about 15 other passengers were wounded.
