While Goa is always a big tourist draw in India, on April 6 – 8 it will be even more so with The Spirit of Goa Festival. The event revolves around Goa’s much-loved coconuts and cashews in a variety of products, cuisine, beverages, handicrafts, and much more, showcasing the traditional aspects and the goodness associated with this produce.

Goa Tourism is all set to soothe the blistering summer with this cool and exciting 3-day festival. Organized by the Government of Goa’s Department of Tourism, The Spirit of Goa Festival 2018 is scheduled to take place at the D.B . Bandodkar Grounds in Campal, Panjim.

The Spirit of Goa Festival 2018 will also have live demos on the distilling of cashew and coconut juice into Goa’s much-relished heritage brew, Feni. Besides authentic Goan food, coconuts and cashews will also be the key ingredients in the cuisine and beverages prepared and served during the festival. A variety of exciting programs, entertainment, workshops, and competitions will be scheduled, and loads of prizes and surprises are set to enthrall the audience.

The spirit of entertainment for the Goa Festival has been planned to bring out the musical spirit carved out in the hearts of every Goan, from timeless Konkani and Portuguese classics to modern-day English Latin styles with jazz and funk rhythms including Konkani pop. The festival line up boasts of well-curated, large-format ensembles with full-brass sections never seen on stage before.

Visitors may also enjoy the experience of a ride on the HOHO (Hop On, Hop Off) buses as a transport service to the venue on Goa’s red and swanky double-decker that will be available on all three days.
